CATS Topic Title : Male cat spraying
Message
I have recently adopted a mixed male cat from the local pound. He is about three years old and was a stray the ran the neighborhood. He is neutered but he is spraying my furniture. Is there anything I can do to prevent him from spraying?

Since he is already neutered the only thing I can figure is that he is establishing his territory. There is a product called Bitter Apple that might help.

If you watch him closely you can usually tell when he is about to spray. You can either make a loud noise or squirt him with a water bottle.
